Equipment Appointment System (EAS) Implementation
Dear Valued Customers,
In order to improve availability of empty equipment and minimize incidental trucking costs, Maersk Line will implement the Equipment Appointment System (EAS) in the Shenzhen area from 15 December.
This system will further supplement and create efficiencies in our equipment management process and EIR printing. The key benefits which this initiative will deliver to you include:
Improved functionality – enabling our customers make the equipment appointment for the next three days
Improved reliability – enabling our customers reserve equipment for a specific date
Improved flexibility – to trace and cancel equipment reservation
Our overall ambition with this new, advanced system is to create an improved customer experience when shipping with Maersk Line in South China.
